territorio, interamente ideato, realizzato e donato gratuitamente alla citt\u00e0 dalla nostra associazione, con il patrocinio gratuito e il supporto logistico del Comune di Avola, all\u2019epoca guidato dall\u2019On. Luca Cannata.<br \/>L\u2019obiettivo era ambizioso e lungimirante: rendere il patrimonio culturale e artistico di Avola fruibile in qualsiasi momento, attraverso una piattaforma digitale accessibile via smartphone.<\/p><p>Grazie a una mappatura accurata del territorio, sono stati selezionati e documentati i principali punti di interesse storico-artistico della citt\u00e0: chiese, monumenti, piazze, luoghi identitari, anche quelli spesso chiusi o poco accessibili. Ogni sito \u00e8 stato fotografato in alta definizione, con riprese a 360\u00b0, immagini aeree, e corredato da schede descrittive e testi storici curati dalla prof.ssa Francesca Gringeri Pantano, citt\u00e0 sono stati installati totem fisici con QR code. I visitatori, semplicemente inquadrando il codice, potevano accedere a una guida digitale immersiva, in grado di raccontare la storia dei luoghi anche durante le ore serali, nei giorni di chiusura o in piena autonomia, sfruttando lo strumento che ormai tutti portiamo con noi: il telefono.<br \/>Un\u2019idea moderna, utile, capace di coniugare tecnologia e memoria, turismo e accessibilit\u00e0, e che ha rappresentato un salto di qualit\u00e0 nel modo di vivere e raccontare Avola. Purtroppo, a poche settimane dalle elezioni amministrative del 2022, i totem furono oggetto di atti vandalici che ne compromisero la piena operativit\u00e0. L\u2019accaduto fu denunciato pubblicamente, ma non ha fermato la nostra determinazione.<\/p><p>Oggi, grazie al lavoro della nuova piattaforma Sicilia Sud-Est, il progetto \u00e8 pronto a rinascere. Siamo gi\u00e0 al lavoro per il restauro, l\u2019ampliamento e la riattivazione del sistema, con l\u2019intento di ripristinare i totem e rilanciare Sicily Mirabilia come strumento permanente a servizio dei cittadini, dei turisti, delle scuole e di chiunque voglia conoscere davvero Avola, in ogni suo
