Sicilian Atelier
History as a starting point
Atelier Siciliano is the design space of Southeast Sicily. The history of each building guides the vision: materials, traces, landscape, and memory become the starting point for new possibilities for use.
We connect research, concepts, and architecture, engineering, and design professionals. Each proposal seeks a balance between preserving the existing and adopting a contemporary language.
STRATEGY, ARCHITECTURE, INTERIOR
Ancient and contemporary, in dialogue
For us, an old house isn't just a surface to be redone, but a story to be understood. Historical research and context analysis guide our restoration options; contemporary design intervenes with moderation, leaving the original identity clearly visible.
Atelier Siciliano develops concepts and enhancement programs together with qualified professionals responsible for technical design and any interventions.
STRATEGY, ARCHITECTURE, INTERIOR
We design exclusivity, we take care of identity
We accompany clients, investors, and professionals in discovery, interpretation, and transformation. From property selection to architectural and interior design, from the enhancement of spaces to the experience of everyday living, we build an ongoing dialogue between identity and contemporaneity.
Our approach
From research to vision
Every process begins with listening: to the building, the landscape, and the people who wish to repurpose it. We study the context, craft a narrative, and develop a preliminary vision, engaging architects, engineers, and designers when the project requires it.
01. Research and reading of the place
We start with the property's history, location, and characteristics. Research helps us identify its value and formulate initial recovery hypotheses.
02. Vision and concept
We translate research into a concept: possible destinations, atmospheres, materials, and images that demonstrate how the ancient can dialogue with contemporary use.
03. Dialogue between skills
We share our vision with local architects, engineers, designers, and artisans. Technical design, inspections, and construction management are entrusted to qualified professionals, depending on the project's needs.
